Thrice

Ate a fortune cookie last evening, craving something sweet and… exotic.

The wisdom was truly at display:

Thrice is better than one time too few.

Since it’s an international fortune cookie (okay, bought in Germany), they hired a highly skilled translator for it (Mr. B. Fish, I assume). The translation aptly said:

Bücke dich eher dreimal zuviel als einmal zuwenig.

This text, worthy of being inside any fortune cookie, was submitted to me recently:

Follow the trail of seeds, they will lead you to a pile of seeds.

What could it mean, I wonder?

Fortune: Happiness and Winning

Ate a fortune cookie today. It contained two (!) wise messages:

“There is no happiness without an action.”

and

“Winning is not everything, but the effect to win is.”

Not quite sure I completely understand the second one, but who am I to question its meaning.
