My flat has become more and more Angebot’s place. We like to call it Angebot Plaza, or Angus Gardens, or any variation of his name for that matter. I have collected a few photos and videos in the last months, this will be a hamster-heavy blog for a while. Let’s call it the Angus Extravaganza.
More Angus Extravaganza after the jump. (more…)
Angu has been feeling a bit under the weather as of late. He hasn’t lost weight, still has his appetite, but is a bit lethargic and his eyes are red. When we brought him to the vet, a new on in Ffm this time, he was quite hyper and wouldn’t let her touch him. After the last vet almost lost a finger, we warned this one, so she was careful, but Angu wouldn’t have any of it.
She couldn’t help us much — we were given an ointment for his inflamed eyes and some stuff for his water to build up his resistance to bacteria. It’s really not easy to apply ointment on a hamster’s eyes, let me tell you that. Even two people can hardly manage, as the little thing squirms and twists himself until he disappears.
At least he didn’t bite me.
This morning, he felt and looked better. Hopefully, he can do some of his trademark climbing soon…
Thaz right, our Action Hamster, a.k.a. The Angrybot, has been officially declared free of parasites! No wonder, we feed him only the finest seeds.
Here he is, doin’ his usual action stuff…

You might’ve met Angebot a few days ago. Turns out, one of his nicknames, Angrybot, couldn’t be more suitable.
Yesterday, we went to the vet to see how he’s doing. Basically, we were a bit concerned about his health — some swelling in the testicles, and I was worried his teeth might be too long because we treat him to too many soft hamster sweets. The vet said he is absolutely alright, in fact he is… how shall I put it, just… well built!
Oh, about his nickname, yeah…! When the vet grabbed Angrybot to check his teeth, good old Angus went nuts and showed him what he thought of him. The vet ended up with quite a gash on his finger and was bleeding a lot — we were actually quite surprised about Angus’s fierce nature. We knew he is an Action Hamster, but not that blood-thirsty!!
It’s good to know we don’t have to worry about his health though.

I would like you to meet someone special today: Angebot! That’s him down there:

I am Angebot, and I like seeds...
Angebot Schäppchen — Angus for short, Angrybot on a bad-fur day, or The Action Hamster pretty much all the time he’s awake — has been with us since March when we struck a deal for him in Broker.
He’s grown a lot, not only in size, but even more so in confidence. Now, he climbs pretty much on everything and everyone around him if you set him free. I am planning on building a course for him, a parcours of sorts, with lots of Action things to do. He is a demanding little thing and is fed only the finest seeds (mostly organic), loves to lick salt shakers, jump from sofas, sprint with fleshy thighs on my living-room floor and coming to a sliding halt.
More photos and footage of Angus in Action will follow soon.
