Three alarms

Filed under: English, Random — Wrayfield @ 08:25

I don’t know what it is for me. Usually, I’d go to bed after midnight and, even if there isn’t that much work, I’d always set three alarms on my not-so-Smart phone. It goes like this:

6 a.m., I wake up, feel a bit energised from a few hours of sleep, but sheer laziness tells me to stay in bed for another ten minutes or so.

6.30 a.m. I hear it, angrily tap it away.

7 a.m. ………..

8 a.m. I missed the last alarm! For some reason this happens quite a lot. Even if I go to bed earlier than usual (which usually means before 2 a.m.)

Maybe I should make it an effort to set only one alarm. This way, I can’t just wait for the next… and miss it. Thing is, it’s not a big deal. Work has been fairly slow so I can show up at 10 at the office. Of course, I’d've to stay until 7 then, but it’s what I do most of the times anyway.

Embarrassing

Wray to girl: “…She invited us for a spargel dish. They are horrible! I mean, why would I eat something that’s tasteless, hairy and looks like a dick!?”

Dancing washing machine

Filed under: English, Random — Wrayfield @ 00:15

So, here is what happens when you move to a new flat provided by your company. You do your first load of washing, fair enough. After a while, the machine starts spinning, real fast… fair enough.

After yet another while, the spinning mode hits max and now it gets funny. The whole machine starts to dance, literally juming up and down the kitchen, crashing into a shelf of glasses. I spend the rest of the washing cycle hugging that mother and hoping it will eventually stop. Nothing was broken, but I fear I cannot do washing and just leave the place. It’s a real workout keeping this thing in place.

Need to check if I can do something about that, I think one of those little feet it was on broke off in the mids of the spinning waltz. Way to introduce myself to my new neighbours.

Fate

Filed under: English, Random — Wrayfield @ 16:45

It’s funny how quickly things can change. One moment, you think you’re in heaven, everything seems to click and you feel invincible. The next, everything goes wrong and you seem doomed. Funny enough, the change can happen just as much the other way around.

So, don’t despair if you find yourself in a miserable situation — things might turn bright for you every minute.

Now, all that’s left for us is to find a way to cope with the sudden changes without freaking out. Easy, right?

Wrayfield Road

Just found out there is a road named after… me!

Next time I’m in London, I need to get a picture of the road sign.
